Iloilo Designers Week Gala Night

To end the week long celebration of fashion here in Iloilo, all the designers from day 1-3 gathered up for one big show. Designers and models from Manila also joined us to make the event even more BONGGA. All the Ilonggo designers showcased one Hablon creation while the Manila designers showcased their Spring/Summer 2013 collections.

I'm still having a hangover of the event since we've been working so hard for weeks and I'm really just thankful for the wonderful opportunity given to me by the Iloilo Designers Week team (Tita Jaki, Tito Bo, and the rest of the team). Participating in this event along with the most talented people in the city (fellow designers, photographers, models, make-up artists, stylists) who share the same craft as mine, just gave me more reason to grow. The event didn't only become a big challenge for me to push myself beyond my limits but it also became a wonderful chance for my assistants to learn more. This experience is something aspiring young designers like me only dream of so to all the parties involved (sponsors, UP Modus, Bijoux Creatives, media people, supporters) in making this event come true, THANK YOU!!

To my friends, relatives, bf, brothers, cousins and especially my Mom, thank you for your all out support! You are my inspiration and I wouldn't have done all this without you. THANK YOU LORD FOR EVERYTHING!

Anyway, I'm still waiting for the official photos so I'll do a separate post about my hablon gown when the photos are out. In the mean time, let me show you photos of my outfit that night. Since it was our gala night, I decided to wear something sophisticated but edgy at the same time. I actually wore a bodycon dress then layered it with a leather pleated skirt. My velvet heels were just perfect for this ensemble since my outfit was a pink and black combo. I wore silver accessories to make the look more interesting.

What I Wore:
bodycon dress, H&M
skirt and necklace, H&M (old)
velvet heels, Topshop

Me and my beautiful muse, Grace Garces wearing my Hablon creation. More photos soon.. :)

My Mom who's in Brunei managed to surprise me with this!
Thanks to Hannah (brother's GF)! How sweet is that? :D
