Dirty Denim

Whenever I'm too lazy to dress-up or whenever I have a lot of errands in a day, I usually wear shorts. I feel more comfortable wearing shorts than long pants, if you still haven't noticed. And this ripped and washed cut-offs are one of my favorites. I wear this pair a lot of time because it goes well with anything. :)

This bag is another "pasulobong" from Paris (thanks Mom)! Another addition to my big and roomy bags.. Just perfect for my travels.. Yahey! :)

What I Wore:
chiffon button-down from Pink Clothes,
acid washed cut-offs from a Korean store (168 Mall),
bag from La Bagagerie,
black loafers from Celine,
ring from Bubbles

Anyway, I just want to share these pictures from Kryz Uy's blog... Check-out her piled necklaces! I made these! Feel free to contact me for orders.. :)

Laces and Knits

For this certain look, I just love how my top and skirt go so well together! The colors and the details, I just feel like they're the perfect match. Though I know I can still wear these items separately in so many ways. I decided to wear native accessories and shoes with this look to also match the aztec print on my skirt. And to add cuteness to this outfit, I grabbed this pretty flower purse from my Mom's recent trip to Paris. She always gets me the best "pasalubongs"! :)

I'm also in love with the back detail of my top!

What I Wore:
tank top from Pinky Binky,
oversized lace polo from WAGW,
knitted skirt from Forever21,
sling bag from Paris,
slip-ons from Celine,
necklace from a friend,
bangles, assorted

On a different note, here are some recent photos from 2 of my favorite bloggers, Laureen and Kryz. They're both wearing accessories I designed! So happy!! Photos grabbed from their blogs. :)

Laureen Uy's necklaces are my creations (2 different necklaces piled together)!

Check-out Kryz Uy's turban! I made it too! :)

Mango X Lookbook X Kryz Uy

I think I've mentioned a couple of times in my previous posts how I super love this girl (I hope I don't sound like a "tomboy" though- HAHA). I love how she can wear anything and look good in whatever she puts on, I love how she's so driven with whatever she does, and how she's such an inspiration to a lot of young girls out there. I remember the first time I saw her in person while we were in the same store at a certain mall. I really wanted to approach her but I was too shy so I just looked at her from a distance (stalker much? haha). The second time I saw her was at a school event, she was surrounded with a lot of friends (some of which I also know personally) so it was akward to approach her. The 3rd time, was at fashion week where it's ok to have pictures with fashion icons and celebrities so there... I finally had the courage to approach her. HAHA. So being her big big fan, it's a dream come true to see her in my designs/creations..

Here's Kyrz Uy's latest look where she wore Binkydoodles (electric pleated pants from Binkydoodles). :)

She made one of my dreams come true so now it's my turn to help her make one of her dreams come true too by spreading the news!

Kryz Uy SAYS....

I would love to be given the opportunity to be the next MANGO IT Girl! It would be a dream come true to represent a huge fashion empire- especially one that I love so much! I was lucky enough that Mango Philippines chose me as their partner blogger, but this takes it to a whole new level. If chosen, I would bring my entire country's pride with me all the way to Barcelona! Plus, I could get a $10,000 check to give to a charity of choice. There are so many deserving charities in the Philippines, like the "Gasa sa Gugma" center in Cebu. Imagine doing what you love, and getting a chance to make a huge change for the better in the lives of so many people. Mindblowing!

Let's help her get more hypes and likes! :)

Less is More

It may look like this outfit was my inspiration for my look below, but NO. I actually found this picture just a while ago while I was searching for images to add to my post. So what do we have in common? Lace top and a bodycon skirt, obviously. Haha. But well, the difference is, my look is the LOOK FOR LESS.

Image from Motel Rocks

And when I say less, I really mean LESS. My whole outfit costs only P420. To break it down, P120 for the lace top and P300 for the bodycon skirt. Minus the shoes and the accessories ofcourse. Amazing, huh? Well, if you want to know where I got these items, better check my other online store, Pinky Binky. That's where I sell my cheap finds. :-)

What I Wore:
lace top and pleated bodycon skirt from Pinky Binky,
floral t-straps from Jellybean,
accessories from my secret place

More of this look from my Lookbook favorites....

Forever Young

I went through weeks long of stress (as always) but I'm still not complaining this time because I have so much to be thankful for. I don't mind working hard and being haggard most of the time because I know it all pays off in the end. I guess the reason why I'm always driven and happy with what I do is because I work hard for everything but I also reward myself accordingly. Or is this just my justification for being "gastadora" (HAHA)? Stress will always be there but it's really just how you handle your own personal time and how you invest in the little things that make you happy.Tomorrow, another self reward is waiting for me. I'll be travelling to Kuala Lumpur and Singapore along with two friends and we will be visiting our friend who's working there, and meet another friend who will also be there on the same date. My trips are always double purpose though because it'll be a research opportunity for me too. That's actually what I really love about travelling. To travel and see the world was also a childhood dream. So now, I'm also fullfuling it. :)

What I Wore:
chifforn top with lace, thrifted,
chiffon tiered shorts from Binkydoodles,
bow flats from VNC

Earlier this morning, I met-up with Julia Montes. It was unexpected but she came to me and asked if I had more dresses because she needs a lot for her US tour. She'll be wearing more of my designs soon! It's my dream for celebrities to wear my creations on TV and Julia's my dream come true! I was really happy when she told me that people gave her positive comments when she wore the dress I sent her and up to now I'm still so "kilig"!! I'm just one of her many fans and being able to dress her up is a super plus for me.

Check out this photo of Julia, hosting in ASAP Rocks along with Kathryn, Billy and Luis. I'm still waiting for her to send me her other photos wearing the other Binkydoodles dress which she said she wore to ABSCBN's Trade Launch. If anyone who has her photo from that event happens to read this post, pls pls pls, I would really appreciate if you would give me a copy. :D

I'm also sharing these photos of Kryz Uy wearing her Binkydoodles tribal print bodycon skirt as a tube top! I'm a really really big fan of this girl too and she never fails to amaze me that's why i liikkkeee her a LOT! And it was such a brilliant idea for her to wear the skirt as a tube top. She's really beyond amazing!

I'm still thinking how. I'll let you know when I figure it out. Hope you guys would also support my blog giveaways! :)

Kryz Uy in Binkydoodles

At this very hour, I'm supposed to be preparing for sleep as tomorrow's going to be another busy day for me. But then, here I am, blogging about something that literally made me jump in the middle of the night. And yes, I'm now wide awake! Weeks ago, I tried to contact one of my favorite bloggers, who else but the lovely Ms. Kryz Uy. Her blog is one of those blogs I visit everyday. And because I love her style a lot, I sent her few pieces from Binkydoodles. Visit her blog here and you'll understand why I love her a lot.. Another thing, I'll be releasing my September collection very very soon! :)

I ♥ SoFA

I've never loved school the way I do now. How can one not love school when it's the place where you'd meet the most interesting set of people? I remember sometime in 2007 or 2008 when got the chance to pass by Paseo de Roxas and saw SoFA for the very first time, I silently thought to myself at that time that one day, I would be studying there. Never did I think that more than just studying and meeting these people I used to see only in magazines, I would find myself having another set of friends. SoFA is a dream come true for me that if school means SoFA, I would consider studying forever (haha). I'm down to my last class this Tuesday. Even just the thought of it makes me feel sad. But what makes me happy on the otherhand is the fact that more than just broadening my knowledge, experience and network, I've found true friends too. The short time I got to spend here is one very colorful chapter I'll never forget. I know I can always go back. So I will.. Sometime again soon... :)

One of my very first pictures in SoFA taken months and months ago. This was my fattest so far, haha.

denim tiered skirt from Zara,
studded bag from Tita Annie,
necklace from my secret place

On a different but related note, here's an amazing shoot done by Danika Navarro and her team for one of their school projects and for her up coming line, Boheme. Danika was my classmate during my 1st two terms in school and I believe she's really one of SoFA's most talented. Her models include popular fashion bloggers Kryz Uy and Patricia Prieto who are also SoFA students.

creative director and head stylist: Danika Rio Navarro
asst. stylists: Shen Jarlega, Patricia Prieto, Turx Tolentino
models: Patricia Prieto, Kryz Uy, Jan Aranilla
photographers: Hannah Reyes, Tippi Sy
make-up: Legna Ennyhl
set and production heads: Shen Jarlega, Turx Tolentino
book layout: Danika Rio Navarro
sponsor: Kandi Treats

Here's another interesting thing I would like to share. Take a look at how the people who work in SoFA dress-up. Would you not be pressured to look presentable if these are the people you bump into everyday? For details, click this link.

Yesterday was another big event for SoFA and Triumph as they awarded the winner of the Triumph Inspiration Award. The winner of the competiotion will compete against reprasentatives from other countries in Berlin, Germany.
