Our flight was at 3:50pm so we arrived in KK at around 6pm. Tita Nanette and Tito Julius picked us up at the airport then we had dinner at a Japanese restaurant in Warisan Square. We completed our first night with crazey shoe shopping at Charles and Keith and VNC (my favorites!). Yiheeee

Our 2nd day was nature trip day. We drove to Mt. Kinabalu Park and proceeded to our first real hanging bridge experience at the Poring Canopy Walk. The experience was really fun and what made it even more challenging was that it was raining. We had to wear raincoats so we can move around freely. After our close encounter with mother nature, we dropped by One Borneo Mall for lunch.

For our evening activity, we celebrated Tito Julius and Tita Nanette's 36th wedding anniversary over uber yummy food at a Seafood restaurant. :)
For our last day, we had breakfast at a Vietnamese restaurant called mint, and went on a city tour. After which we bought pasalubongs for our folks.

My first back-packing trip outside of the country with friends was definitely a blooper-fun trip. And for our future trips, we'll definitely apply what we've learned from this trip. This trip would not have been as much fun as it was if not because of Tito Julius and Tita Nanette. It was truly memorable and we are all looking forward to the next. :)
